REFINISHING PROCESS

When you are ready to start your refinishing project with us, we will email you an invoice for a 50% deposit. It can be paid securely with any major credit/debit card or ACH bank transfer. If you are making the payment in cash please schedule an appointment.

 

After payment has been made, we will schedule the project in our calendar. We suggest that the color and sheen be selected by the drop off/pick up of your piece/s. 

 

Current lead time is appoximately 4 to 6 weeks. Custom created finishes will take longer. Need your piece/s faster? Ask for our rush service.

 

Offered Finishes:
 

LACQUER PAINT FINISH: This is our strongest most luxurious finish. We use high quality professional grade lacquer finishes designed for wood and start by meticulously preparing your piece for its new finish. We clean, sand, fill and repair when necessary. We then seal/prime your piece before applying the beautiful tinted lacquer in your choice of sheen. The result is a smooth rich manufacturer like finish.

 

COLORS: We can match any color from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Fallow & Ball, or Panetone colors. Please provide brand, color name, and color number. 

SHEENS: Flat, Matte, Satin, Semi-gloss, Gloss. 

 

NOTE: Quotes are for a one color finish only, we include the backs and interior cabinets when applicable.

 

HAND-PAINTED CUSTOM FINISHES: We a combination of General Finishes products for this type of finish.

SHEEN: Our hand created custom finishes can be finished in either a water-based top coat or clear lacquer finish.

 

STAINED FINISHES: We offer full-service stain. We fully strip the current finish, sand, and stain in your chosen color. Then we spay a clear lacquer finish in your sheen choice. We can also match the original color should you want to keep it or just fix a top. Quotes are for a one color application. Additional processes to achieve a desire look or finish such as glaze, toner, or shadow will be bill additionally.

 

COLORS: We use General Finishes and Mohawk stains. We have samples and can consult by appointment.

SHEENS: Flat, Matte, Satin, Semi-gloss, Gloss.

 

We offer specialty finishes by request including two-tone finishes, glazing, cerusing, bleached. 

 

PLEASE NOTE: All quotes are for refinishing only. Any additional work needed is considered extra and we will quote and bill accordingly if requested. Ex: repairs, tightening a loosen part, gluing, replacing a missing part/s etc. 

 

HARDWARE OPTIONS FOR YOUR PIECE. 

All quotes include original hardware and hinges.

 

Polishing current hardware: We can give them a new look by polishing or spray painting them in another metallic color. Price: $15 each handle, knob, hinge.

 

New Hardware: 

Purchasing from us: We will be happy to provide options with pricing.

 

From a third party: Clients that purchase hardware from elsewhere could ship them directly to us. 

 

Hardware installation options: 

A- New handles using the same holes: Provided hardware should match the current holes, make sure to take measurements (from center of the holes) before purchasing the new hardware. Check here, this picture will help you determine hole centers on your drawer pulls. This is important if you are replacing existing hardware and want to use the same holes! There is no charge to install the new hardware using same holes.

 

B- Closing current holes and making new ones: To close the current holes and make new holes for the new hardware, we charge $15 per hardware.

MORE CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS? YES PLEASE! 
Sometimes clients need more for their one-of-a-kind piece/s, for that reason we work with a variety of materials such as: paper, metal legs, wood, glass, mirror, stone and more. 
 

FURNITURE PICK-UP AND DELIVERY:  

We offer in house pick-up/delivery services. Please provide your zip code for a quote. All quotes will require assistance by the client. If you are unable to assist, please specify you will need a 2 person pickup/delivery at the time you are requesting a quote.

If you are dropping off/picking up:

Due to liability, we kindly ask our clients to bring their own help to unload or load their piece/s. We recommend bringing moving blankets and moving plastic wrap to protect the whole piece/s for transportation. 

 

  • PLEASE NOTE: Due to the lack of space, from the time we notify that your piece/s is ready: we kindly require that the finished piece/s must be picked-up within a week. Otherwise, it is understood by the customer that a storage fee $10 per day will be applied to the invoice.  

  • ALL final invoices will be sent at completion and are required to be paid in 24 hours. Deliveries will not be arranged until final invoice has been paid.
