To remove dust:
Dust buildup is made of small airborne particles, that can scratch or dull the surface if not removed correctly. Simply wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with water or mild soap.

To Clean:
Fingerprints, cooking fumes, smoking residue, etc., accumulates on any finished surface. None of these contaminants will harm your finish, but they should periodically removed to restore the finish to its original luster. Just wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with a non-wax containing polish or mild detergent solution. Avoid the use of ammonia based products or silicone oils as they may cause damage if used over a long period of time. It is also best to avoid harsh cleaners like Clorox Bleach (wipes), Lysol, and Murphy's Oil Soap. Also be mindful of anything acidic; i.e. perfumes and hairspray.

The finish is durable and resistant to most household spills. However, spills should be wiped up promptly to avoid potential problems.

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity can cause damage to both the finish and wood itself. These should be avoided.

Following these simple will keep your finished project looking new for many years.

Pieces with mirrors:
Never clean your mirrors with ammonia based products. Only use ammonia free glass cleaners. I suggest Sprayway glass cleaner. (Afflitate link)
